John Dunn is the current CEO of Egg Farmers Australia, representing over 85% of industry production. He is a credentialed policy professional and political advocate with almost fifteen years’ experience in the public and private sectors. He has advised federal parliamentarians in NSW and Victoria and acted as a business consultant assisting large organisations on strategy, communications and government relations.
John has worked in the agriculture sector since 2014 and has a close association with egg farmers having led the industry campaign to achieve a common sense definition for free range egg labelling.
John has a keen interest in how community values, activist campaigning and new scientific knowledge intersect to influence government decision-making on animal welfare policy. He presents at PIX on the implications of the new poultry Standards and Guidelines as they pertain to animal welfare.
