Professor Ross Kingwell
Ross is chief economist in AEGIC (Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre), a joint initiative of the WA Department of Agriculture & Food and the Grains R&D Corporation. He is also a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Western Australia (UWA). He chairs the Australian Farm Institute’s research advisory committee and has served as co-editor of the Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics. He is a past-president of the Australasian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society and is a distinguished fellow of that society. Ross’s research interests and expertise are principally in farming systems and industry analysis. A current emphasis in his research is grain supply chains in Australia, competitor analyses and grain demand analysis.
